Position Summary:
Based in Quetta, the Social Organizer will play a key role in implementing the School Meal Program in Quetta, Balochistan. The responsibilities include registering mothers and students, conducting awareness sessions on WASH and nutrition practices, and coordinating with teachers to promote program objectives. Additionally, the Social Organizer will collect and compile data, prepare reports, and engage with the local community to promote the program.
Major Responsibilities:
Mother and Student Registration
1. Registration Process: Register mothers of students and collect relevant data, including contact information, student details, and other relevant information.
2. Data Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of student and mother registration, including maintaining a database and performing regular data backups.
3. Verification: Verify the accuracy of registration data through regular checks and balances.
WASH and Nutrition Awareness
1. Awareness Sessions: Conduct awareness sessions for mothers on WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) practices, including handwashing, sanitation, and hygiene.
2. Nutrition Education: Provide information on nutrition support and healthy eating habits, including the importance of balanced diets and meal planning.
3. Demonstrations: Conduct demonstrations on WASH and nutrition practices, including cooking demonstrations and handwashing exercises.
Coordination with Teachers
1. Data Collection: Collaborate with teachers to collect required data on student attendance, health, and nutrition.
2. Program Promotion: Ensure that teachers are informed about the School Meal Program and its objectives, including the importance of WASH and nutrition practices.
3. Teacher Support: Provide support to teachers in promoting WASH and nutrition practices in the classroom.
Data Collection and Reporting
1. Data Collection: Collect and compile data on mother and student registration, WASH practices, and nutrition support.
2. Report Writing: Prepare and submit regular reports to the Programme Manager/Field Coordinator, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
3. Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in WASH and nutrition practices.
Community Engagement
1. Community Outreach: Engage with the local community to promote the School Meal Program and its objectives, including WASH and nutrition practices.
2. Relationship Building: Build relationships with local leaders, teachers, and mothers to ensure the success of the program.
3. Community Events: Organize and participate in community events, including health fairs, nutrition workshops, and WASH awareness campaigns.
Other Responsibilities
1. Staff Meetings: Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
2. Program Evaluation: Participate in program evaluation and monitoring activities, including data collection and analysis.
3. Other Tasks: Perform other duties as requested by the Programme Manager/Field Coordinator.
