Senior Developer - Magento

We are seeking a Senior Magento 2 Developer to lead the development of an innovative B2B eCommerce platform for one of our clients in the food industry. Success in this role means delivering a high-performing, scalable platform that enhances business customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in both backend and frontend development, with knowledge of Magento headless architecture. Your contributions will be key to streamlining operations and driving growth, making this a vital role within our team

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of our new eCommerce website using Magento 2, covering both backend and frontend tasks.
Design, develop, and implement custom modules and features within Magento 2 to meet specific business requirements.
Integrate Magento 2 with third-party services, ensuring seamless communication between systems.
Implement and manage Magento 2 headless architecture, utilizing APIs to build a decoupled front end.
Ensure performance, scalability, and security best practices are followed during development.
Collaborate with the design and product teams to implement responsive, high-performance user interfaces.
Optimize Magento 2 store for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring excellent user experience across devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in both backend and frontend.
Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and ensure code quality by conducting code reviews.
Stay updated with the latest developments in Magento 2, headless architecture, and eCommerce trends.

Requirements:

At least 5+ years of experience in Magento 2 development with proven expertise in both backend and frontend technologies.
Strong understanding of Magento 2 architecture, including custom module development and theme customization.
Hands-on experience with Magento headless architecture and integrating Magento 2
APIs with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) and BE like Node.js.
Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
Experience with performance optimization techniques (caching, load balancing, etc.) for Magento 2.
Deep understanding of eCommerce workflows, including payment gateways, shipping methods, and order management.
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
Ability to work independently, lead projects, and mentor junior developers.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and headless CMS systems.
Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure) and Magento 2 cloud setup.
Understanding of SEO principles and web analytics.
