- Perform microbial analysis on raw materials, finished products, and processing environments.
- Identify and quantify bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms that may affect product quality and safety.
- Monitor and analyze changes in microbial populations over time.
- Develop and implement microbiological testing protocols.
- Verify the effectiveness of sanitation practices.
- Evaluate and improve quality control processes to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to develop new products and processes.
- Conduct experiments to improve microbial control and product shelf life.
- Evaluate the impact of different processing methods on microbial growth and survival.
- Maintain detailed records of all testing and analysis.
- Prepare reports summarising findings and recommendations.
- Communicate results to relevant stakeholders and guide corrective actions.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in food microbiology.
- Identify opportunities to improve product safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
