Trainee Accountant

We are looking for people who are motivated and are willing to learn skills in an accountancy practice and have at least two to three years working for a UK-based platform in Pakistan. The role is mainly focusing on back office and providing back office support for senior accountants based in the UK.

Job Description

Preparation for VAT returns.
Preparation of accounts for sole traders.
Annual Accounts.
Partnerships and limited companies.
Providing assistance to the tax department with Personal Tax and Corporation Tax work.

Educational and Skills Required

BCom, AAT, or Degree qualification.
Experience is not required but recommended.
Confident in building strong relationships.
Diligent but efficient working practices.
Answering queries.
And other ad-hoc duties.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organization skills.
Good MS Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel.

The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.

Responsibilities

Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs.
Prepare tax documents.
Compile and analyze financial statements.
Manage budgeting and forecasting.
Bank analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or ACCA FDA passed; F6 exam is a plus point.
Ability to interpret and analyze bookkeeping, financial statements, and periodicals.
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
