Digital Learning / Innovation Academic Lead

We are looking for an innovative and strategic Digital Learning & Innovation Academic Lead to spearhead the integration of digital technologies in the educational curriculum and support the continuous improvement of digital learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive innovation in teaching methods and work with faculty and staff to enhance student engagement, learning outcomes, and academic excellence through the use of technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Learning Strategy & Integration:
- Lead the development and execution of the institution’s digital learning strategy to enhance educational delivery and student engagement.
- Oversee the implementation of learning management systems (LMS), virtual classrooms, and other digital learning platforms.
- Work with academic leaders and faculty to integrate innovative digital tools and methodologies into the curriculum.
Curriculum Innovation:
- Collaborate with faculty to design and develop digital learning content that supports a blended or fully digital learning environment.
- Identify emerging educational technologies, platforms, and trends, and evaluate their potential for integration into the academic curriculum.
- Facilitate the adoption of digital learning best practices to ensure an effective and engaging student experience.
Faculty Training & Support:
- Provide leadership and training to faculty on the use of digital learning tools, teaching strategies, and best practices.
- Develop and deliver professional development programs for faculty to enhance their digital literacy and pedagogical skills.
- Support faculty in the integration of digital resources, ensuring that they feel confident and empowered to use them in their teaching.
Innovation in Pedagogy:
- Champion and promote innovative teaching methodologies such as flipped classrooms, gamification, personalized learning, and online assessments.
- Encourage the use of collaborative technologies that foster teamwork and peer-to-peer learning.
- Design and implement digital assessments, quizzes, and other evaluation methods that align with the school’s academic goals.
Student Engagement & Experience:
- Ensure that digital learning initiatives are student-centered and enhance the overall student experience.
- Monitor student feedback and learning outcomes to continuously improve the digital learning environment.
- Collaborate with student services to provide adequate support and guidance for students engaging with digital learning tools.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Analyze data on student engagement, learning outcomes, and digital tool effectiveness to inform continuous improvements in digital learning practices.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to measure the success of digital learning strategies and initiatives.
- Use data to guide decisions on upgrading or changing digital learning platforms, tools, or methodologies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work with academic leadership, IT, and administration to ensure smooth implementation of digital learning initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between faculty, technology teams, and other departments to drive innovation and problem-solving.
- Participate in academic committees, contribute to strategic discussions, and provide insights on the future of digital learning and innovation.
