Pet Food Machinery Engineer

As a Pet Food Machinery Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our production lines, particularly for dry food manufacturing. You will be responsible for the technical integrity of our equipment, resolving complex technical challenges, and continuously improving our manufacturing processes. You will also be a key player in training our production staff and introducing new technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

Technical Supervision: Manage all production equipment related to dry pet food manufacturing, including extrusion, drying, coating, and packaging.
Advanced Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend machine lifespan.
Process Optimization: Analyze machine performance to identify improvement opportunities, reduce production costs, and increase energy efficiency.
Innovation and Development: Actively participate in the introduction of new technologies and the implementation of automation projects for the production lines.
Training and Supervision: Train production operators on optimal machine use, safety procedures, and best maintenance practices.
Project Management: Participate in the planning and execution of expansion or reconfiguration projects for production lines to meet the company's growing needs.

Desired Profile:

Education and Experience: Engineering degree in mechanics, electromechanics, or industrial engineering, with a specialization in production machinery for the food industry. 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position, specifically in dry pet food production, is required.
Technical Skills: Mastery of extrusion technologies, industrial drying processes, and automated coating and packaging systems. Knowledge of predictive maintenance and equipment performance management (OEE).
Project Management Skills: Experience in managing technical projects, with a proven ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage multidisciplinary teams.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, with a keen sense of leadership, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
Adaptability and Innovation: Innovative mindset, ability to adapt to rapid technological developments, and propose creative solutions to improve existing processes.
