Recently I have been working in Fast Cables Ltd. as a Shift Engineer/Shift Incharge at Ccv Line (Catenary continuous vulcanization Line). Ccv Line is the latest and most modern technology around the world for the production of MV cables and it is introduced first time in Pakistan only at Fast Cables Ltd.

I am responsible here for operation and maintenance of plant electrically and mechanically Plant operation, raw material maintain and manage manpower for the production of MV cable is also my job as a shift Inchage.System contains Electrical Machines (ABB) with VFDs (ABB) and different types of electrical components (sensors, switches, electric heaters and relays etc.) which are controlled by PLCs and HMIs (Siemens). Plant also contains a sag control system for the cable positioning, pay off for conductor paying, accumulator for conductor reserving, upper capstan and lower caterpillar to support cable in Ccv tube and take up for final cable rewinding.

I have worked here as Trainee Engineer for a period of one year under Prime Minister Youth Training Scheme. It is honor for me to work here in both departments electricity generation and consumption. System contains power plant of 21MW with three types of multi-fuel engines (Wartsila--Finland, DiahatsuJapan & CaterpillarAmerica) to make sure its own electricity and which distributes electricity towards production fields contain weaving units with automatic 440V looms as well as Sizing, folding, compressors, boilers, chillers and residency colonies.

At Low voltage and control system stages sensors, switches and electrical machines (Induction motors, Servo motors, Stepper motors etc.) are usually controlled by PLCs (Siemens) with HMIs, VFDs (ABB) and four types of starters (DOL, STAR-DELTA, Reverse-forward and Inching).
