Nursing Shift Supervisor At Ali Medical Center Islamabad since Nov 2016. My duty is manage staffing for the shift solve active issues and complain of Patients and Attendants, Maintain discipline, and visit the whole hospital to make sure every thing is going smooth according to standard and report the whole shift report to Nursing Manager, CNI, and CEO. Previously Worked as registered nurse at Aga khan university hospital( Nov 2011 to Aug 2016).. Aga khan university hospital is a premium medical university of Pakistan in private sector. It has a teaching hospital with international level of education, management training with JCIA accreditation. I am graduated with a 3 years of Diploma in general Nursing from Aga Khan university school of nursing and midwifery, and 1 year diploma in midwifery from Baqai school of nursing. Major aspect of my duty is holistic patient care, safe medication administration.
Being Nursing shift supervisor my responsibilities are.
Work in collaboration with staff and doctors for the well being of patient.
solve conflicts and issues during shift.
Monitor the whole staff for the quality care and safety of patients.
Direct report to Nurse manager.
Ensure uniform code of staff.
Assess staff for their learning needs and conduct session according to their learning needs.
Pre and Post-operative care of patient.
Safe Medication administration while following five medication.
Administration Rules.
I/V canulation, urinary catheterization, Nasogastric Tube insertion,
Tracheostomy care and suctioning ,
Colostomy, ileostomy, and Urostomy care,
Wound care, and wound dressing .
Provide Urgent care critically ill patients and transfer to tertiary care.
Triage assessment and prioritize patient according to the disease process.
Severity of symptoms.
Patient Family education regarding treatment plan, rehabilitation .
Techniques, Diet, and take home medications.
Care for Patient on Ventilator and BIPAP (noninvasive ventilator).
Blood sampling and follow lab reports on basis of patient condition
