My name is Irum Fatima and I’m a development professional with experience of 15 years. I have a dynamic and energetic personality. I have worked well alone as well as in teams. I have been engaged in different operational tasks, strategic agendas and activities.
I am engaged with Bedari since 2010. I have working experience around Women and Human Rights, GBV, SRHR & Family Planning, Child Rights, Women Economic Empowerment, Livelihood and agro ecology. Around these areas my extensive work has produced real tangible and local award winning results that have positive impact on the lives of struggling and under privileged women, children and men in Punjab Province. I am a grass root worker and also have extensive working experiences with parliamentarians of Punjab Assembly on different advocacy agendas.
In addition, I am an active member of Women Deliver, UHC International, Women Economic Forum and many other national and international advocacy forums.Volunteer Coordinator in Punjab Women Protection Authority .
I represented my organization at different national and international forums including: India, Bangladesh, Netherland, Thailand and Canada.
I have create toolkit for child protection I herself have started a volunteer campaign on weekends in which i travels to differentremote areas and train street children's about protection practices, self-Awareness and self-protection. Year from 2016 to, till date Provincial Coordinator Bedari, Lahore, Pakistan
Represent Bedari at various networks including AASHA, Child Rights Movement, GBN, and Human Rights Network. Organize National Level Conferences dialogue and Sessions with Media Persons and Parliamentarians. Organize events in the (i) National Conference on Girls’ Early Marriages (ii) A Session with Parliamentarians on Domestic Violence Bill and Child Marriage Bill, (iii) A Session with Media Persons on Girls’ Early Marriages. Coordination and liaison with district government. Developed project proposals, concept note designed budget and developed by annual and by annual reports and shared with District administration and Donors’ agencies regularly. Designed tools for the effective review of the project. Delivered number of sessions to project teams on project themes and issues including girl’s education, enterprise development, marketing and negotiation skills, WASH, climate change, social mobilization record keeping, monitoring and evaluation. Delivered number of training to enterprise executive body and on social enterprise development, financial management and record keeping transparency and accountability. Formed 10 women and 10 youth networks and build their capacity on SRHR issues; developed of link ages with religious leaders for awareness on SRHR issues and services delivery. Designed and conducted baseline and end line study of the emergency projects. Design and implement advocacy and awareness campaigns including the one against sexual harassment at workplace, one against girls’ early marriages, and one against domestic violence. Conduct social mobilization and arrange meeting with community support groups. Support in editing and contribution for organization’s magazine ‘Voice against Torture’.
