Please note that this is a conditional offer subject to your confirmation that you undertake and affirm that you will follow the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business framed, to be framed and amended by the YPP Secretariat.
The 18th Youth Parliament Pakistan® is primarily going to be convened from December 2023 – December 2024 (The dates are tentative and subject to change at the sole discretion of the YPP Secretariat). The YPP will train young and aspiring individuals from all geographical areas: Islamabad Capital Territory, 4 Provinces (Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh), as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Overseas Pakistanis resident in major areas of concentration like Middle East, Europe, Americas, rest of the areas like Australia-New Zealand etc.
The aim of YPP is to make youth aware of the global, national and local developments; inform them of their rights and duties as citizens (or persons of origin) of Pakistan and the globe; prepare them to be productive and responsible citizens who are tolerant towards beliefs and viewpoints which are different from their own. The term will consist of multiple sessions. To maintain your position as an MYP, you must undertake, and fully participate in all sessions of the programme.
1. The sessions will involve various political and socio-political education activities, consisting of plenary discussions with renowned leaders and experts in their respective fields.
2. Activities will consist of courses, group discussions, engagement with experts, leaders and officials, surveys, parliamentary-style debates etc. You will be informed of the activities beforehand.
3. There will be no charge for virtual activities but since in-person activities/sessions will involve travel, hotel stay and associated expenses, the members will be required to bear such expenses, which will be announced close to the activity dates. You may pay for these activities yourself, or find a sponsor. Along with the usual activities, the in-person session may consist of Study Visits to parliamentary institutions and meetings with senior public officials.
4. Youth representatives from all constituencies will be assigned work such as developing a report on the status of development in their constituency or on the performance of their parliamentarians in that particular constituency, development projects in the area, verification or fact-check report on any localized incident taken place in the area, undertaking public opinion surveys sent in by the Secretariat, etc. Participation and completion of all such activities is compulsory to maintain your membership in the YPP and lack of interest in such activities may be the grounds for termination of membership.

Under the supervision of the Country Representative, the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator and ambassador is responsible for ensuring that a Results-Based Management (RBM) approach is fully integrated into the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) of Pakistan; WHO recognized to and international level standard cancer hospital and the Strategic Note, the Vision Document, Annual Work Planning and Reporting of UN Women Pakistan, including, evidence-based programming approach and the results based M&E. Responsibilities include: managing the programmed Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation (LME) activities; monitor, access, analyze and produce reports about key results and achievements across UN Women Pakistan programmed; provide technical support on Results-Based Planning, Reporting, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning; support RBM and M&E activities of the Research and Data Section. The PM&E Coordinator will work closely with the Partnership and WHO and health sector, on economic analyses to guide programming in the area of inclusive and resilient economies and gender inclusive financing.
The Shaukat Khanum Student Ambassador Program offer a great opportunity for students to represent the mission of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) in their respective colleges or institutes located all across the world. The Shaukat Khanum Student Ambassadors act as a liaison between the Hospital and their educational institutes and get hands-on marketing experience to develop their leadership and interpersonal skills.
The Ambassadors will be required to connect with us on a monthly basis to help plan events and activities in their respective institutes.
