Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate the suitability of locations for water sources, sanitation facilities, and hygiene- related interventions.
Assess the existing infrastructure, environmental considerations, and the community needs to decide implementation of WASH infrastructure.
Planning, designing, estimation and implementation of water supply and sanitation infrastructure with community participation according to the sector specific standards, national guidelines, PATS standards & in consultation with the local PHEDS
Oversee and supervise construction and installation activities related to water supply systems, sanitation infrastructure, and hygiene facilities.
Ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols. Collaborate with procurement teams to identify and procure necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for WASH project.
Coordinate logistics, including transportation, storage, and distribution of project materials.
Engage with local communities, community leaders, and beneficiaries to foster participation and ownership in WASH infrastructural activities.
Develop monitoring systems & protocols for WASH Hardware components including vendors' quality & performance monitoring & contract management. This also includes vendors' technical capacity assessment, technical evaluations, drafting & reviewing work completion & quality inspection reports, verifying GRNS & review payments.
Provide continuous feedback to procurement section on vendors' performance, highlighting quality & performance issues, recommending corrective measures.
Conduct market assessments prior to developing cost estimations & provide real-time market information related to the services required under the project.
Conduct community consultations, facilitate community mobilization, and ensure that community perspectives are incorporated into planning and implementation of the project.

I am working with International Medical Corps as WASH Officer on flood emergency response program 2022.

Participate in the social and technical feasibility of projects and identify need for WASH and other infrastructural requirements in the project area keeping in view DRR, EIA and inclusiveness aspects.
Supervision and observation of the implementation of all fieldwork of assigned cluster(s) related to WASH and other infrastructural works by contractors or laborers according to the timeline plans of work and according to design drawings & BOQs and other technical requirements.
Undertake technical assessment and ensure quality and accurate technical specifications are incorporated into the WASH and other projects designs specifications.
Conduct site visits on daily basis to follow up progress in contractor work and guide the work as per design, drawings and standards.
Reports of achievement of daily, weekly, and closing to Project Engineer and/or to Project Coordinator- WASH.
Follow the agreed-on plan of action, implement the project as per schedule, reporting any delays and deviations immediately.
Support the collection and documentation of impact and success stories and Documenting the project (Reports pre, during and post pictures and videos), in order to showcase the achievements and proper monitoring.
Orient vendors/ contractors, laborers and communities on design, drawings and BoQs with material quantities and quality in understandable language both verbally and in writing in order to avoid future misconceptions and issues.
Train communities on WASH guidelines for O&M of infrastructures as well as water quality issues and low cost treatment options.
Any related tasks/duties assigned by the supervisor.
Timely follow-up with contractors and laborers for smooth implementation of activities and achievement within the time frames.
Ensure construction material safety and keep record of utilization for proper check and balance
Ensure proper labor division among workers in coordination with Project Engineer and vendors/ contractors.

Major Responsibilities.  Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets and specifications for contractors. Report accurate quantities for labor cost reports accurately monitor material ledgers to determine if quantities remaining in the estimate are sufficient to complete the project in the field.As a member or the Project Team. your duties include being able to perforce layout work competently, accurately and efficiently. Coordinate inspections with Senior Engineers and authorities as required by the contract. Inspect false work for conformance to design drawings. Monitor installation of rebar for conformance to structural drawings. Assist Project Manager by enforcing quality control, expediting subcontractors. Continually update drawings with changes as issued by Senior Engineers. Review shop drawings for conformance with the contract and ensure information is communicated to Project staff and Project Manager. Identify contract document conflicts and recommend solutions.  Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards. codes. specifications and design instruction.  Present oneself as a candidate for promotion by learning and understanding construction methods and developing good construction management skills. To develop trust, tolerance, and co-operation among community members.  Prepare the Reports as required to supervisor. Any other task assigned by supervisor.
