I am working with HHRD as a Procurement Engineer. I have been performing following responsibilities as a procurement Engineer :
1. Sourcing and Purchasing: Identifying reliable vendors/Contractors, obtaining competitive quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and issuing purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services needed for projects or operations.
2. Vendor Management: Evaluating potential vendors, assessing their capabilities and reliability, and maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods and services.

3. Cost Management: Monitoring and controlling procurement budgets, analyzing cost variances, and implementing cost-saving strategies such as bulk purchasing, vendor consolidation, or negotiation of better terms.

4. Quality Assurance: Working with vendors to establish quality standards, inspecting received goods to ensure they meet specifications, and addressing any quality issues or deviations.

5. Contract Management: Reviewing and negotiating contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and managing contract renewals or terminations as needed.

6. Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the supply chain, developing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring continuity of supply in case of disruptions.

7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendors performance, and preparing reports on procurement activities, budget utilization, and savings achieved.

8. Compliance and Ethics: Ensuring procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards, including promoting sustainable and socially responsible sourcing practices.

 Technical assessment of feasible sites for projects.
 Sites Selection for construction.
 Preparation of 2D and 3D drawings and Tender Documents.
 Development of WASH-related material.
 Designing of WASH project.
 Supervision and Monitoring of WFL and WASH Projects.
 Preparation of Bidding process.Shortlisting of Vendors.
 Meetings with vendors.
 Preparation of Execution Plan.
 Preparation of BoOs of Different Water and WASH Projects.
 Supervision and monitoring of projects all over Pakistan.
 Documentation of project.
 Preparation of progress report.
 Field visits of different locations in Pakistan for monitoring and inspection of construction work.
 Capacity building of field team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Check Plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Worked as a main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
• Preparation of RFI for consultants and proceeding RFI to consultant for site inspection.
• Preparation of Daily Progress Report.
• To check the results of tests e.g., Slump Test, Field Density Test, etc.
• liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
• liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
• Oversee the selection and requisition of materials
• Rate Analysis.
• communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress
• carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors - this is site-specific and may not be the case on all projects

·       Preparation of Daily progress report.
·       Construction of the bridge during road construction.
·       Inspection of construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
·        Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors.
·        Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol
·        Evaluating the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed.
·       Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.
·       Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
