Area Director – Save the Children International
Pakistan (Responsible for program operation in Sindh and Baluchistan, the key program managed are FSL, WASH, Health and Nutrition, Gender and CP, Shelter NFI and Education in Emergencies) and Managed Program Support (Admin, Fianance, Security, Awards, Logistic and supply chain).
Being Area Director, I am responsible for leading all aspects of Program Management including projects Managements, budget development and management, agency coordination and representation, security, logistics, Finance, HR, Awards/ partnership team and management of multiple project teams. One of my key responsibilities includes building capacity of team and implementing partner and in the effective scale up and management of Save the Children emergency programs to increase impact and enable positive change for children.
I have Area representation on the Senior Management Team (SMT) in the Country, I am responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a wide range of projects, delivering life-saving aid to more than 500,000 people in need. Projects ranged from water and sanitation to health, undernutrition and post emergency family and community rebuilding, with budgets ranging from 10 to 12 million USD.
My responsibilities also include oversee the partnership management and making strong connections with other actors by arranging meetings (one-to-one) or professional gatherings. Visiting Govt and securing the NOC for smooth operation in the area. 
Currently, I am managing almost 7 – 8 multisectoral programs implemented in 2 provinces of Pakistan with average portfolio of almost 13 million USD. My key coordination remained with several donor agencies (ECHO, EU, DEC, DRA, HKDRF, HUM Fund, Hunger fund, UN agencies funding etc.)

As Country program Manager, I led the program activities across Iraq. my overall responsibility includes Program design, management, project development, development of concept paper and proposal designing, project management, planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, budgeting management, scope management, capacity building of staff, etc. I was also responsible for the operation management of the Base office, where I managed matters related to logistics, fleet, HR, overall program operation, security, etc.
During the assignment, I led several emergency responses for IDP and refugee displacement and prepared the emergency response plan for organizations.
One of my key responsibilities includes partnership management and capacity building of implementing organizations. During the assignment, I was selected as a Strategies Advisor Group Member in Cluster in Iraq and participated in the development of HRP, being a SAG member, I have reviewed all IHF proposals submitted for 2022.

I have managed the ACF – WASH emergency response program design for Mosul IDP\'s. Being a program manager, I was in charge of the development of the intervention strategy for the WASH, ensure the smooth running of the WASH, Manage project activity and to ensures the planning, execution, monitoring and financial management of the project and the human resources.

The major activities completed during the assignment were, provision of safe drinking water through water trucking and rehabilitation of water network, conduct water safety plan training for the government official (DOW staff) and develop water safety plan for Ninawa- Governorate. Solid waste management activities and rehabilitation of sewage line were also done; WASH in schools and health facilities activities were also implemented in the area.

The major objective of the assignment is as under:

- To identify and implement high quality and relevant WASH activities with high coverage, in conformity with overreaching strategies and standard set by ACF international and national policies.
- To implement and monitor the emergency WASH activities in urban and high-security context.
- Contribute to the consultation of strategies and the positioning of the WASH department.
- Identify the need and contribute in project formulation to address the specific needs.
- Ensure the smooth implementation, monitoring, and report of the program.
- Contribute to program quality and accountability processes and measure the program impact.
- Participate in coordination, representation, and partnership of ACF at the national level and area of intervention.
- Supervise and manage the Mosul field team remotely from Erbil base.
- Contribute to capitalization and technical development in the program

This position was responsible for oversight of the entire project including components related to Health System Strengthening and Community Mobilisation, Food security livelihood and WASH, taking on a key position in the management of integration, ensures the project cycle implementations, monitoring, planning, reporting, liaison and coordination. This position include the 6 major objective stated below.

- To ensure efficient, effective and timely implementation of the entire projects.
- To manage and develop the project integrated team.
- To maintain comprehensive records and report in a timely manner
- To assist in wider organizational development through learning and proposal development support
- To manage external relations related to the project
- To take the lead on field coordination.

Currently managing the one of the Largest Water sanitations and Hygiene promotions (WASH) program in South, The activities included in project were drilling & rehabilitations of 157 Water points and establishment of Water information’s managements system (WIMS) in respective state and build the capacity of Government authority to ensure the optimal use of WIMS system. The projects also included a strong Hygiene Promotion component including CLTS implementations in 20 focus communities, PHAST, CHAST and training local community hygiene workers, establishments of Pump Mechanic associations in intervention area and build their capacity, developed the market restorations activities and ensure the availability of IM11 spear parts in Market. Organize Expo workshop to create IM11 spare parts demand in market and Organizing and training management committees to maintain the WaSH Infrastructure once the project was completed.
The Project funded by OFDA and Budget of project was 4.0 million USD.

 To ensure the implementations of ACF-USA WASH strategies.

 Control and ensure the quality of program, which include the contract managements also.
 Plan & manage the WASH budget, project budget follow up and ensure to prepare the budget forecast.
 Prepare project procurement plan and ensure the on time procurements for planned activities.
 To supervise and build the capacity of WASH program staff field bases.
 Plan and manage the activities of WASH team.
 Evaluations of skills and technical competencies of WASH team.
 Identifications of training need and provide training.
 Skills developments for ACF staff engage in respective program.
 To ensure the proper reporting of program and coordination’s.
 To ensure the timely submission of weekly, monthly and quarterly Donor report.
 Final report submission by end of program to Donor.
 Develop monitoring and evaluations report.

During the assignment of WASH Program Manager, I’ve managed 04 projects for ACF in Sindh and KPK province of Pakistan. Projects funded by various donors such as ECHO, SIDA, ERF, EU & World Bank. My responsibility holds the 04 major objectives during this assignment which are stated below.

Objective1: Manage water, sanitation and hygiene promotion humanitarian/recovery projects.
• Guide the base WASH team in water, sanitation and hygiene promotion programming, in broader coordination with relevant ACF Nutrition and FSL teams, establish new team when needed and/or expand existing teams (recruitment, training, organ gram strategy) .
• Develop (SOP) Activities scope document (targeting criteria, mobilization modalities, local partnerships, participant training curricula, monitoring systems, staff schedules, etc.)
• Ensure quality and integrity of implementation, including adherence to technical guidelines, administrative systems, and established deadlines. Identify and respond to related staff capacity building priorities.
• Develop project monitoring (SOP) that includes participatory methods, project progress, effectiveness of ACF facilitation, progress toward achieving targets, ability to measure stated indicators, project adherence to methodology, budget expenditure, etc.
• Evaluate the relevance and appropriateness of programming in relation to water, sanitation and hygiene promotion in the local context, and maximize integration with FSL through program design, implementation & surveillance (geographic, household, individual targeting utilizing integrated indicators).
• Contribute to contingency planning for possible WASH emergency response if required.
• Prepare internal and external reports for ACF and donors, including expenditure plans and SitReps.
• Mainstreaming gender, protection and DRR in project/program activities.

This project was implemented for 2010 flood effected IDP in 05 districts of Sindh Provence, during this assignment I was responsible to assist the expat program manager to manage the program activities in field level, ensure the quality of deliverable, below are some major responsibilities of job.

- Developments of need assessment tools and conduct assessment in field to capture the need develop Project implementations plan and SOP for WASH activities to ensure the quality of work.
- Budget management, Prepare budget forecasting and treasury forecast.
- Provide Technical gaudiness to field WASH team & Contractors, review BOQ and drawing to provide technical inputs and validate prior to implementations. Ensuring that the program activities are implemented as per project design.
- Coordinate activities with district level line departments and represent organizations in cluster meetings.
- Capacity building of WASH team, Conduct weekly feedback session/ training, development of IEC material and field staff manuals for Health and Hygiene education.

This was an emergency response project for SWAT conflict effected IDP’s, being the WASH officer I was responsible for implementations of WASH activities in camp , Schools , hospitals and host communities of district Haripur, Mansehra and Attock. I’ve successfully completed the one year project, the project activities include ensure provision of safe drinking water through restorations and developments of water supplies systems and water tanking in Camps. Sanitations facilities building of emergency latrine in camps ensure the solid and drainage waste management. Strong hygiene promotions activities were also included in projects.

The projected was implemented in district Mansehra and Allai; I was responsible for implementations of WASH activities in field. Major responsibilities include the assessments of water and sanitation infrastructure in community, community sensitizations organizations and training as per project activities and objectives, Implement and monitor day-to day activities in community, prepare regular reports, monitor the contractors work to ensure that work is implemented as per agreed specification etc.

This project rehabilitations project for EQ-2005 effected community; my basic responsibilities in this role were was the implementations of activities in field as per specified strategies, conduct social/technical feasibility assessments of gravity flow water supplies scheme, identify WASH-related health risks with reference to both physical and behavioral aspects. Beneficiaries identifications and organize hygiene kits distributions
Conduct hygiene educations sessions in targeted community through PHAST approaches, mobilizations of community, formations of village water user committee, conduct operations and maintenance training together with finance managements training.
Ensure that gender, protection, HIV, the environment, and other important cross cutting concerns are taken into account in program design, implementation, and reporting; ensure that activities reflect the needs of specific groups and individuals e.g. elderly people, children, and people with disabilities.
