Main Responsibilities:

Work with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities to leverage enterprise data to drive business solutions.
To mine and analyze data from corporate databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing methods, and business strategies.
Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data collection techniques.
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to your datasets.
Use predictive modeling to improve and optimize customer experience, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes.
Develop your company\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s A/B testing framework and test model quality. Coordinate with various functional teams to implement models and monitor results.
Develop processes and tools for monitoring and analyzing model performance and data accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 3+ years of experience in the relevant field.
Proven experience in ETL/ELT; Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) is preferred.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong SQL queries and data modeling concepts are mandatory.
Data mining through state-of-the-art methods.
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
Experience working with ML/DL frameworks like Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, etc., as well as a firm grip over modern state-of-the-art and good-to-have NLP architectures such as BERT, GPT-3/GPT-4, Reformer, RNNs, CNNs, LSTMs, etc., and vector space models such as GloVe, Word2Vec, USE, etc.
Good to have familiarity with Model Serving APIs like Django, Flask, & StreamLit. Peer-reviewed publications in topics of advanced data science, machine learning, deep learning, or NLP.
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
Expert knowledge and experience in working on conventional computational linguistics problems such as syntactic processing, word sense disambiguation, context-free grammar, lexical semantics, quantification, plurality, etc.
Expert knowledge and experience in working on conventional NLP problems like informational retrieval, relevance ranking, and search, question-answer generation, natural language inference, topic modeling, unstructured text pipelines/modeling, anomaly detection, text summarization, etc.
Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Certifications in the relevant domain and demonstrable experience in research and development are a plus.
Good to have peer-reviewed publications on topics of advanced data science, machine learning, deep learning, or NLP.

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is an ICT-based system in Pakistan providing a single window for trade. PSW is a facility that allows parties involved in trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents at a single-entry point to fulfill all import, export, and transit-related regulatory requirements. If information is electronic, then individual data elements need to be submitted only once. PSW will connect relevant government departments with each other and with economic operators like importers, exporters, customs agents, shipping agents, transporters etc, in Pakistan for efficient management of cross border trade. It will provide the ease and transparency in achieving compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, through an on-line facility, that will intelligently handle the information for each transaction without the need to provide same information more than once or to physically visit such government departments. Pakistan has committed to implement various provisions of World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement that includes implementation of a National Single Window (NSW) system before February, 2022. Pakistan also needs PSW implementation to overhaul management of its external trade for reducing time, cost and complexity involved to improve its position in various global rankings on competitiveness and ease of doing business. Guiding vision and mission objectives: VISION: Pakistan will establish a world-class automated hub by 2022, offering services and creating efficiencies, to reduce cross border trade related costs, time and complications for improved trade facilitation and compliance. MISSION: Improve cross-border trader processing by providing centralized ICT based services, simplified processes, effective and reliable automation, harmonized data exchange and risk-based selectivity in enforcement of government’s regulations.
