We are seeking detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Engineers to join our team at PRAL headquarters in Islamabad. The successful candidates will work on PRAL-managed commercial projects, ensuring that our software solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that service levels specified by the customer are met.
- Prepare, maintain, and implement the Software Quality Assurance Plan.
- Ensure the completeness and comprehensiveness of documentation for software applications.
- Prepare, maintain, and implement internal audit processes for QC systems and conduct routine periodic audits at different stages of the software development life cycle to determine QC effectiveness.
- Protect intellectual property using state-of-the-art technologies and standards.
- Supervise the provision of the test environment (OS, NW, HW, and SW).
- Prepare test cases reflecting business requirements and manage documentation for test cases.
- Perform functional, load, stress, performance, and integration testing on software releases to ensure the developed product is error and bug-free.
- Prepare test results, report deviations, take corrective actions, maintain records of all reviews, results, exceptions, and corrections, and manage low/high-level bug density control charts.
- Perform application bottleneck, threshold, and capacity analysis, and recommend configuration, system, and performance tuning.
- Coordinate with other wings to ensure that all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirement phase through post-delivery support, meet or exceed required standards.
- Manage interdepartmental training on quality tools and techniques.
- Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager (Operations).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Applicants with CSTE, CAST, or any other relevant certifications are preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years experience in quality control or software testing roles.
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance processes and methodologies.
- Experience in the following automation testing tools; Selenium, JMeter, Cypress, Appium, etc.
- Experience with Automated UI Testing.
- Experience with distributed version control (e.g. Git).
- Experience in preparing and executing test cases and test plans.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to perform detailed documentation and reporting.
- Familiarity with functional, load, stress, performance, and integration testing.
