We are looking for a detail-oriented and resourceful Data Analyst with strong problem-solving skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing data analysis, calculations, and data manipulations to provide actionable insights and support business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline data-related processes and improve operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis & Reporting:

    • Analyze and manipulate large datasets using advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, and data validation.
    • Create and maintain dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for business and operational decision-making.
    • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data, and provide recommendations based on findings.
  2. Excel Data Manipulation:

    • Perform complex calculations, aggregations, and transformations on datasets to prepare data for reporting and analysis.
    • Develop and optimize Excel formulas, pivot tables, and charts to present data in a clear, concise, and meaningful manner.
    • Automate repetitive data tasks using Excel functions and macros to increase efficiency.
  3. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting:

    • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies or errors in datasets.
    • Use logical reasoning and critical thinking to analyze problems, identify root causes, and recommend data-driven solutions.
    • Work with other departments to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions to meet those needs.
  4. Collaboration with Teams:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, operations, finance) to gather and understand data requirements.
    • Support other departments by creating custom reports or visualizations to help solve business challenges.
    • Provide training and support to team members in the use of Excel for data analysis tasks.
  5. Documentation & Data Integrity:

    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data used for analysis and reporting.
    • Maintain thorough documentation of processes, data sources, and workflows to ensure clarity and reproducibility.
    • Assist in the development and enforcement of best practices for data management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of functions like VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, and the ability to create complex formulas.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets.
  • Experience with data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data issues and discrepancies.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings and collaborate with other teams.
