Reports To: Finance Manager / Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our civil construction company.
The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to help drive business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, preferably within the construction industry, and be able to effectively communicate their findings to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
Generate detailed financial models to support project planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assist in the development and management of the annual budget and long-term financial forecasts.
Collaborate with project managers and department heads to gather necessary data and insights for accurate budgeting and forecasting.

Cost Control and Management:

Monitor project expenditures and identify areas of potential cost overruns or savings.
Provide recommendations for cost control measures and financial efficiency improvements.
Support the procurement team in analyzing vendor bids and contract negotiations.

Project Financial Analysis:

Perform financial analysis on current and prospective projects, including profitability assessments and risk evaluations.
Develop financial metrics and KPIs to track project performance and ensure alignment with company goals.

Financial Planning and Strategy:

Assist in the development of financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.
Evaluate the financial impact of potential business decisions, including new projects, capital investments, and business expansions.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
Support internal and external audit processes.

Data Management and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and databases.
Utilize financial software and tools to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by senior management.
