POSITION OBJECTIVES

To assist M&E Manager to monitor project activities on a regular basis in line with the performance framework and work plan, identify gaps and suggest measures to improve the performance of the project.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The M&E Officer at Nai Zindagi conduct field monitoring visits as planned and report findings. Assist in the development of a comprehensive data collection and reporting system.

Capacity Building

  • Provide field based M&E support and technical inputs to field teams during field visits.
  • Evaluate performance of field team and generate reports to build capacity of field staff accordingly.
  • Conduct observations and share findings on implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols and systems for programatic review and quality accurance
  • Provide training to Sub Recipient’s program and M&E staff on M&E related aspects of the project with special emphasis on Performance Framework and indicators that need to be reported.

Routine oversight

  • Under the supervision of the M&E Manager, and as a member of the PR office team, participate in reporting on Global Fund project activities.
  • Monitor projects implementation reports received from SRs and Project sites on regular basis to assure identify missing data or inconsistencies and report back such errors to respective entities.
  • Assist in tracking progress against targets, analyze data sets and make recommendations for enhanced program planning, coordination and management of the project.
  • Assist in analyzing monitoring and evaluation data for inclusion in the phase wise reports to be submitted to the LFA and the Global Fund.
  • Ensure timely data collection with the help of a Management Information System (MIS) and suggest improvements and additional features to be incorporated in the MIS for effective and efficient data collection.
  • Ensure proper application of internal mentoring mechanisms and templates for quantitative and qualitative monitoring of the service delivery.
  • Assist in preparation of reports and presentations based on monitoring and evaluation data to serve as reference, informational and advocacy purposes.
  • Devlop field M&E plan and ensure quality implementation.

Field Visits

  • Conduct physical monitoring of the projects as per field monitoring plans and submits comprehensive reports to M&E manager.
  • Review and validate clients’ files consistency between hard & soft record
  • Interact with clients during spot visits to ensure participatory M&E.
  •  Ability to write high-level technical documents/reports
  • Willingness to travel extensively

 Correspondence & Coordination

  • Close coordination with the MIS and Program team to verify the data quality, data management, tracking tools, and data synthesis in line with performance indicators.
  • Closely work with MIS department for the development of essential reports of Plus component.
  • Participate in internal meetings for knowledge-sharing
  • Any other Task assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Experience in Program management, monitoring and evaluation or related field  in development programs.
  • Ability to write high level technical documents/reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Must be proficient in the use of computer especially MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience in working with a variety of donors and I/NGOs
  • Excellent Communication skills both speaking & writing
  • Expertise in interacting with key populations
  • Strong data management skills in excel and ability to handle complex datasets
  • Preference will be given to candidates having served in an NGO providing harm reduction and HIV prevention services for injecting drug users and have extensive experience of technical insight into key problems and its management among people who use drugs.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and openness in responding to changing work priorities and environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication and coordination skills
  • Effective trouble shooting skills
