Senior Software Developer - Laravel

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in Laravel development, coupled with significant leadership and management responsibilities. The primary focus of this role will be on engineering tasks, with approximately 70% of time dedicated to engineering and 30% to leadership and management duties. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical skills while also demonstrating the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities:

Laravel Development (70%):

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Laravel framework.
Implement new features and optimize existing ones for performance and scalability.
Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and refactoring.

Team Leadership (20%):

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Assist in setting clear objectives and priorities for the team.
Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the team.

Project Management (10%):

Plan and prioritize project tasks, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates on project progress.
Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Technical Leadership:

Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the development process where applicable.
Champion best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and deployment strategies.
Drive architectural decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

Extensive experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on Laravel framework.
Proficiency in MySQL or other relational databases.
Solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue.js or React.
Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration.
Experience with Shopify development and customization.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.

Leadership and Management:

Proven experience in providing technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on achieving results.

Project Management:

Experience in project planning, execution, and delivery, with a focus on Agile methodologies.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

Experience with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Key Instructions for application:

Shopify Experience: Preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked on Shopify-related projects or have relevant experience in Shopify development.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development, specifically with Laravel, is required.
Location: This is an in-house position based in Lahore. Only candidates residing, or willing to move in Lahore will be considered.
Job Type: Full-time, Morning shift. Part-time candidates or those holding multiple jobs will not be considered.
Training: The selected candidate may have to go for training purposes to other city for up to one month. Post-training, this will be an in-house position in Lahore.
