CNC Programmer & Designer is responsible to do the following activities:

1. Responsible for designing & programming of sheet metal dies & molds by using Auto CAD & Solid Works software.

2. Responsible for designing & programming of jigs & fixture in Auto CAD & Solid Works software.

3. Responsible to read and understanding technical drawings and set up programs in the CNC machines as per drawings provided by D&D department.

4. Responsible for using CAM software to quickly generate the NC files for further programming of 3 Axis CNC machining center.

5. Responsible for designing & programming for CNC machines to meet quality standards from sampling to regular production.

6. Responsible for adjusting speed of machines and feed parameters for the maximum life of tools of the machines.

7. Responsible for adjusting and updating machine cutting path to optimize production in CNC machines for the production department.

8. Responsible to modify existing designs / programs for different machines as required.

9. Responsible for maintaining the tooling database, e.g. which machine requires what type of tools for cutting of dies & molds.

10. Responsible for determining right programming for each step of the operation.

11. Responsible for monitoring all programs to make sure that blueprint instructions are being followed and complete task safely and successfully.

12. Responsible to train new workers on CNC programming, designing and operating.

13. Responsible for checking and monitoring machine lubrication oil level, coolant level, filter cleaning also ensure preventive maintenance.

14. Responsible for engaging CNC Operators with proper job assigned as per instruction by Senior Manager Dies & Mold.

15. Responsible to perform any other task assigned by HOD.
