The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain & Procurement Manager is to manage the company's supply of products and services. This includes strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers, discovering ways to reduce procurement expenses, and purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies for the organization. Additionally, the role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating terms with vendors, and reviewing and analyzing receiving/inspection documentation.

Role and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels
Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
Examine and test existing contracts
Maintains records of approved suppliers and periodically evaluates vendor performance (e.g., conformance with stated requirements, trends, anomalies)
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
Expect unfavorable events through the analysis of data and prepare control strategies
Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
Evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Masters in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
10+ years’ experience in procurement or purchasing (Pharmaceutical Industry)
3 years of proven working experience as Supply Chain & Procurement as a manager or Head of Procurement (Pharmaceutical Industry)
Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software (Database management, Inventory management, Financial analysis, point of sale, Procurement, Project management Enterprise resource planning, and General office programs)
Talent in negotiations and networking

The ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines
Good oral and written communication skills
