Dispatch / Warehouse Officer

The Dispatch/Warehouse Supervisor oversees the dispatch operations to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of goods. This role involves managing warehouse, dispatch staff, coordinating with drivers, and maintaining customer communication to provide excellent service. The Dispatch Supervisor will also monitor performance metrics, handle any issues that arise, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Management:

Supervise and lead the dispatch team, including dispatchers and drivers.
Schedule and assign daily tasks and routes for drivers.
Maintain Record of warehouse items with proper documentation.
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, changes, and expectations.

Coordination and Communication:

Coordinate with logistics staff to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers to monitor their status and provide necessary support.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.

Performance Monitoring:

Track and monitor the performance of the warehouse, dispatch team and drivers, including delivery times, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Problem Resolution:

Address and resolve any issues or emergencies that arise during dispatch operations.
Handle customer complaints and inquiries promptly and professionally.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
Conduct regular safety and compliance training for dispatch staff and drivers.
Monitor vehicle maintenance and ensure all vehicles are in safe working condition.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of dispatch operations, including delivery logs, driver logs, and customer interactions.
Prepare and submit regular reports on dispatch activities and performance metrics.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
May require lifting and moving of materials and equipment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
