Food Preparation and Cooking:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and menus.
- Ensure portion control, quality, and presentation standards are met.
- Adjust recipes as necessary to account for dietary restrictions or ingredient availability.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Kitchen Organization:
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Assist in stock inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing food waste.
- Store ingredients and food items properly to prevent spoilage.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all health, hygiene, and safety standards, including food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP guidelines).
- Monitor food temperatures and storage practices to ensure compliance.
- Report any safety or maintenance issues promptly.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding orders, ingredients, or any challenges.
- Train and mentor junior staff as needed.
