We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Import Coordinator / Trade Coordinator to join our team. The role will involve managing import processes, coordinating with international suppliers and local customers, overseeing documentation and customs requirements, and ensuring efficient and seamless import operations.

Key Responsibilities

Communication and Coordination

  • Serve as the main point of contact between suppliers and customers to facilitate the timely opening of Letters of Credit (LC).
  • Coordinate shipment schedules with suppliers to meet agreed timelines and contract requirements.
  • Provide consistent updates on order status, shipment schedules, and any required documentation to all stakeholders.

Trade Documentation Management

  • Review and verify all trade documents, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and Insurance documents.
  • Share verified documentation with customers for their review and approval.
  • Maintain an organized record of all trade documents for easy reference and compliance.

Data Entry and Record Maintenance

  • Accurately input order details, LC information, and transaction data into the company’s internal systems.
  • Keep updated records of all sales, purchases, LCs, and bank contracts to ensure traceability and data accuracy.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Chemistry or a related field) to provide informed support on product details and applications.
  • Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with suppliers and customers.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple transactions and documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or trade management software is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of customs brokerage, import regulations, and procedures.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle client inquiries professionally.
  • Familiarity with ocean logistics and shipping practices.
