We are looking a Database Engineer (DBE) with 4+ years of experience specially in MS SQL, who will manage and support 24x7 production databases as well as development databases to ensure maximum availability of database resource for various applications specially FinTech. He should have the hands-on experience of Tables creation, sql query writing, stored procedures, user defined function, indexex etc. He should perform the DBA related tasks in key areas of System Administration, Database Administration, Backup, Archive & Restore Management, Performance Management & Reporting Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning, Strategies defined for backup/recovery techniques, and problem determination and resolution.
The DBA will be responsible for the availability, performance, integrity and security of the databases. Primarily with MySQL on Linux.
Responsibility over Production/Development Servers:
- Responsible to perform query optimization in addition to assist/reviews/feedbacks to stakeholders in writing complex queries, stored procedures/functions, views, DDL/DML script.
- Core responsibilities includes installation, administration, operations, support, and maintenance, monitoring & upgrading of database servers to ensure availability, security with optimal performance.
- Work closely with the development team and production teams.
- Maintains quality of service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Troubleshoot complex database issues in accurate and timely manner ensuring compliance to SLAs / OLAs.
- Maintain database operational, disaster recovery, backup procedures/processes to ensure continuous availability and speedy recovery.

Skills & Attributes:
- Working experience as an DBA in MySQL is essential but experience in Oracle & MSSQL will be a plus
- Should have worked in Unix platforms.
- Understanding of Logical Data Model/Physical Data Model.
- Understanding of Normalization and De-normalization concept.
- Ability to write efficient SQL & exposure to query tuning.
- Should have good working knowledge on UNIX shell scripting.
- Should have good understanding of data archive/restore policies.
- Should be good at users/objects/rights management.
- Strong working knowledge of Database platforms and its internal engine, storage & memory architecture/processes.
- Monitor system's health and performance
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time.
- Must be familiar with working and managing enterprise level mission critical databases with considerable size 2+ TBs
Qualification:
Bachelors/Masters in Computer Sciences or in any relevant field
