Job Purpose:
The incumbent will be responsible to implement the social mobilization approach of programmes in line with IRP strategy to empower communities in the target areas, especially women and people with disabilities, so that they are more aware about their entitlements including social, economic and civil rights. The Field Supervisor will also support IRP’s Shelter interventions which aim to ensure general communities (especially women and people with disability) in the areas, are able to live in an environment in which their rights are protected.
Technical:
- Supervise and lead a team of enumerators, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork in order to foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and respect within the team.
- Conduct regular team meetings, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching to identify training needs and facilitate capacity-building opportunities for team members.
- Supervise the data cleaning process for submissions made by enumerators, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
- Identify, analyze, and correct errors or inconsistencies in data sets using appropriate cleaning techniques and tools.
- Establish and implement standard operating procedures for data cleaning to maintain high-quality standards.
- Conduct randomly audits of data submissions to ensure compliance with established protocols and identify areas for improvement.
- Train enumerators on effective data collection practices and the importance of accurate data entry.
- Collaborate closely with data quality assurance officers to ensure a seamless handover of cleaned data for further validation.
- Manage conflicts, resolve issues, and promote a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement work plans, aligning with project objectives and timelines.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including local authorities, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor progress.
- Ensure effective use of resources, including budget management and logistics.
- Collect, analyze, and report data on project indicators, including beneficiary information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, databases, and filing systems in order to identify data gaps and develop strategies to address them.
- Ensure data quality, security, and confidentiality.
- Track project progress, identifying successes and challenges.
- Conduct regular field monitoring, providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare and submit regular reports, including progress updates and data analysis.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation.
- By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Field Supervisor will ensure effective team management, planning, organizing, and data management, contributing to the successful implementation of Islamic Relief's community development projects.
Operational:
- Assist in preparation of weekly/monthly work plans against PMT (performance measured time frame) by ensuring the timely completion of assigned tasks in the stipulated time period.
- Assist in the maintenance of hard records that include field visits reports, CO meeting minutes, beneficiary data, assessment records, distribution records & other documentation.
- Assist in ensuring appropriate beneficiary’s data collection & screening prior to making any transaction
- Assist in ensuring proper filling of forms & formats as per desired standard
- Assist in extending support to MEAL / MIS / Communications staff for gathering desired information.
- Ensure availability of up-to-date info in MIS on regular basis with the consultation of MIS / M&E.
- Close coordination with line manager for effective implementation of project activities.
Organizational:
- Ensure compliance with IR’s policies & procedures in true spirit for effective delivery of services to communities.
- In depth understanding of IR values and their demonstration in the field while working with communities.
- Abide by the IR zero tolerance policy towards bribery & corruption through sensitization/empowerment of communities on coping mechanisms so that they can raise voice as & when feel inappropriate.
- Thorough knowledge of IR strategic priorities to ensure effective implementation with future sustainability.
- Assist in the identification & documentation of organizational successes for show casing IR work
- Facilitate communities in adaptation of environment friendly & cost effective approaches to meet their current as well as future needs with specific attention to climate change.
- Focused efforts to be made for mainstreaming of marginalized groups i.e. Persons with disability and old age, minorities, Women & children etc in consultation & implementation of project activities at ground.
- Assist in strengthening mechanisms to Influence the decision makers through communities to pay attention towards DRR planning, give voice to suffering and the excluded, highlight the protection needs of people.
- Participation and facilitation in the implementation of IR seasonal programs & emergency response.
