Install solar panels and systems in various settings, which may include residential, commercial, or industrial locations. Ensure that these installations meet the specifications designed by solar engineers and adhere to all relevant codes and safety standards.

Detailed Tasks and Duties:

Performing site-specific engineering analysis or assessments, detailing exact requirements.
Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement and layout of solar panels.
Configure, install, and wire photovoltaic solar systems, including the electrical wiring and fixtures.
Connect solar systems to the local power grid and perform necessary testing to ensure their safety and efficiency.
Maintain records of all maintenance and installation tasks, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and their components, thereby reducing downtime and helping to maintain high levels of system operational reliability.
Stay updated on the latest industry technologies, best practices, and guidelines.

Education and Certification Requirements:

Diploma in Electrical Technology
A professional certificate in photovoltaic systems installation.
Relevant experience in electrical installation or maintenance, which can be substituted with specialized training in some cases.
For certain advanced roles, an associate's degree in solar technology or a related field may be required.
