- Develop and implement pricing strategies for vessel slots based on market trends, demand forecasts, and competitive analysis.
- Negotiate slot allocation agreements with shipping lines, carriers, and other third-party agents.
- Monitor and analyze market conditions and adjust slot rates and allocations accordingly.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop pricing proposals and contracts for customers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline slot rate management processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and developments that may impact slot pricing and allocation strategies.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members involved in slot rate management activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with feeder operators.
