Education & Experience:

Minimum qualification: Bachelor's in Commerce (B.Com) or higher
At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar accounting role
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop is mandatory

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Experience in managing ledgers, bills, cash, and inventory
Familiarity with purchasing order systems, receivables, and payables
Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes
Understanding of financial forecasting and budget management
Ability to prepare financial statements and balance sheets
Experience with bank reconciliation and payroll processing
Knowledge of procurement processes and managing supplier relationships
Experience in cost accounting or project accounting is an advantage
Understanding of local and international tax regulations, compliance, and reporting standards
Experience with regulatory filings (e.g., VAT/GST, payroll taxes)
Ability to maintain and organize accounting records and documentation effectively

Software Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
Expertise in accounting software, primarily QuickBooks
Familiarity with ERP systems and other accounting tools
Knowledge of cloud-based accounting practices is a plus

Analytical & Organizational Skills:

Strong analytical skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and recommend improvements
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Ability to identify discrepancies and solve problems effectively

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English
Soft-spoken and effective communicator
Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Experience working with management, vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders
High level of integrity and professionalism
Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and dependable
Proactive with the ability to take initiative
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Demonstrated experience maintaining confidentiality with sensitive financial information
