This role will oversee the accurate and timely submission of regulatory reports, liaise with regulatory bodies, and ensure alignment with industry standards and legal requirements.
Should be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements and for maintaining a robust internal controls environment.
The individual will also lead efforts to enhance the internal control framework to mitigate risks, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain financial integrity.
The role requires close collaboration with various departments, including risk management, and compliance, to develop and implement effective reporting and control mechanisms.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in regulatory frameworks, internal controls, risk management, and a proven ability to lead and mentor teams.

Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Reporting:

Oversee the preparation and submission of all reports to the State Bank of Pakistan, including but not limited to capital adequacy reports, liquidity reports, risk management reports, and financial condition reports.
Ensure that all reports are submitted within deadlines and in accordance with SBP regulations and guidelines.
Implement automation and process improvements to streamline the reporting process where possible.

Compliance with Regulatory Requirements:

Ensure full compliance with SBP’s Prudential Regulations, Circulars, and Guidelines.
Monitor changes in regulatory reporting requirements and ensure timely updates to the reporting processes.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address new regulatory developments and provide input for any internal changes.

Internal Controls & Risk Management:

Develop and maintain a robust internal controls environment to mitigate risks associated with regulatory reporting.
Ensure that internal policies and controls align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Conduct regular reviews to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data used in reporting.

Liaison with Regulators & Stakeholders:

Act as the primary point of contact for the State Bank of Pakistan and other regulatory authorities regarding reporting requirements on behalf of finance department.
Respond to queries from regulators and other external stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure effective communication with internal departments (e.g. compliance, and risk) to gather required data for reporting purposes.

Data Integrity & Analysis:

Oversee the quality of data and ensure that financial data used in reporting is accurate, complete, and validated.
Perform in-depth analysis of regulatory reports to identify any discrepancies or areas of improvement.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on regulatory report findings.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay up to date with regulatory changes, industry standards, and best practices to maintain the company’s compliance posture
Lead initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, including system upgrades and automation
Promote continuous learning and development within the team to ensure alignment with evolving regulatory standards.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

Education: CA/ACCA/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in regulatory reporting, internal controls, or financial risk management
