Duties and Responsibilities

Support the provincial/District program teams for before and during the project implementations and DIP for the smooth running of program/project. Develop a central and provincial action plans based on the need of the projects.
To manage, supervise and support staff reporting to this position using performance monitoring and appraisal tools.
To oversee the relevant aspects of the program according to the program design and ensure Organization and partner organizations are meeting their commitments under the Grant agreements and as per donor guidelines through Guidelines, SOPs and formats for Project management through Prince2.
Assurance that the Project Initiation Documentation complies with relevant donor standards and policies, plus any associated contract with the subgrantee/supplier.
Agreement with the Project Manager on that person’s responsibility and objectives.
Confirmation with Program management of project tolerances.
Specification of external constraints on the project, such as quality assurance.
Approval of accurate and satisfactory Project Initiation Documentation.
Delegation of any Project Assurance roles.
Commitment of project resources required by the next Stage Plan.
Provision of overall guidance and direction to the project, ensuring it remains within any specified constraints.
Review of each completed stage and approval of progress to the next.
Review and approval of Stage Plans and any Exception Plans.
‘Ownership’ of one or more of the identified project risks as allocated at plan approval time; i.e. the responsibility to monitor the risk and advise the Project Manager of any change in its status and to take action, if appropriate, to ameliorate the risk.

Required Education:

Master in Sociology ,Anthropology & Development studies or project Management.

Required Experience:

At least 1-3 years of relevant experience with community development projects, preferably have experience in the field of project development.
