Job Summary

The Internal Auditor is responsible for auditing primarily finance related matters though also operational compliance and IT audits as may be required from time to time, and ultimately supporting the Finance Director and wider UK based Finance team in delivering their roles and responsibilities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Audit all sales and income, including verifying income and expenditure through supporting documents on a daily and weekly basis
Periodically audit various financial entries (including EPOS data) to ensure accuracy and identify any anomalies
Conduct financial, operational compliance and IT audits in conformance with International Standards
Carry out the professional practice of internal auditing, to include objective and practical recommendations for Management to action as appropriate
Communicate the results of audits via written reports, oral presentations and recommendations to Finance Director and other Board Directors
To conduct investigations of suspected irregular conduct as and when required
To conduct periodic, follow up reviews to assess and report on progress / completion of Finance Director’s corrective actions in response to internal audits observations and recommendations
To assist in the formulation of policies and processes to continuously improve internal controls relating to Finance and wider operations
To continuously assess compliance of policies and processes with sound business practices, contractual obligations and international standards
Any other duties as assigned by Finance Director

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in relevant field - essential
Be able to understand, speak, read and write in proficient English - essential
Hold ACCA, CA Inter, M.Com, MBA (Finance), MSc Accountary and Finance or equivalent
Have strong IT skills including knowledge of (E)POS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems as well as MS Office. Experience in handling data-sets, databases, SQL etc. is a bonus
