We are looking for a well-qualified HR / Payroll Manager for our UK Office, based in Lahore.

The Person must be pro-active, organised and efficient to successfully support the business. Additional finance or HR responsibilities may form part of the role.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Remunerate employees and compiles payroll information by managing payroll preparation, completing reports and maintaining records.
  • Must be able to adhere to deadlines and should be able to deliver.
  • Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
  • Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers.
  • Prepare Journals of payroll at month end and provide the Accounts department to post in accounting software and to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Resolve payroll queries by answering questions (if any).
  • Compliance with HMRC (UK), and legal requirements by applying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Continuous Development and recent changes in legislation should be reviewed including publications, interacting with peers and colleagues.
  • Should be able to keep track of operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Sending contracts to new starters and processing compliance checks such as right to work documents.
  • Ensure all steps of the Employee On boarding and Induction process are coordinated and monitored.
  • Ensure all new starters receive correct paperwork i.e. contracts and follow through the process of the HR induction. 
  • To maintain all personal files in HR system with all relevant employment documents and in accordance with GDPR.

 Skills Required: 

  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes. 
  • Good computer skills (Preference will be given to ERP Skills).
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Candidates having foreign degrees and having UK exposure will be preferred. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Proficient with payroll software, for example SAGE Payroll, Brightpay, Staffology etc. 
  • Superb IT and Data Analysis skills.
  • Working knowledge of PAYE, SMP and NIC.
  • Focused and diligent, with excellent attention to detail.
