Job brief

As a National Sales Manager’s your responsibilities will include supervising the sales team and building long-term client relationships.As a National sales manager, you should use your creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth. Communication and team management skills are also essential for this position.Ultimately, you should aspire to develop and maintain successful relationships with large, distributed customers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  2. Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets.
  3. Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  4. Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
  5. Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  6. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
  7. Prepare overall, region-wise, zone-wise, area-wise monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, yearly and long-term sales targets and projections.
  8. Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  9. Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs.
  10. Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
  11. Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
  12. Ensure appropriate policies and schemes are prepared in order to boost sales with as minimum as capital being stuck in the market.
  13. Provide timely solutions on slow moving and items with declining pattern in the market, which require being informed about stock levels available and in transit.
  14. Provide management support in preparation of a comprehensive sales policy, complaint policy, return and replace mechanisms.
  15. Provide management assistance and opinion based on market insight at the time of setting price lists.
  16. Any relevant function(s) that contribute to the enhancement of company’s market share, sales growth and tackling of adverse factors in the market, hindering company’s growth, expansion and penetration.
  17. Ensure daily, monthly etc reporting as may be required by management.

Requirements and skills

  1. Proven work experience as a National Sales Manager.
  2. Experience managing a high performance sales team.
  3. Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
  5. Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
  6. Strong communication and team management skills.
  7.  Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  8. Availability to travel as needed.
  9. Graduation in marketing or any relevant field from any HEC recognized university.
  10. Well versant with national and local languages being spoken in Pakistan.
