Manage all financial aspects related to import operations, including tracking and recording import transactions, duties, and tariffs.
Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely processing of import documents and clearance.
Verify import documentation for accuracy and compliance with customs regulations and company policies.
Calculate and record landed costs associated with imported goods, including freight, insurance, and other related expenses.
Reconcile import-related accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Prepare import-related financial reports, including cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis, inventory valuation, and import duty reports.
Assist in developing and implementing import-related accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize efficiency.
Proven experience in import accounting or related role.
Strong understanding of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade terms .
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of import duties, tariffs, and trade agreements.
