Video Editor

We are looking for a talented and creative Video Editor with a strong understanding of YouTube content and trends to join our team. As the Video Editor for our faceless YouTube channel, you will be responsible for editing and optimizing high-quality videos that engage and retain viewers, as well as creating eye-catching thumbnails that drive clicks. If you’re passionate about video production, have a keen eye for design, and understand what makes YouTube videos stand out, this role is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities: Video Editing:

Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos that align with the channel's style and brand.
Apply engaging effects, transitions, and graphics to enhance storytelling, without compromising the flow of the video.
Ensure that videos are optimized for YouTube (proper aspect ratio, resolution, and file formats).
Work with voiceovers, sound effects, music, and b-roll footage to produce engaging, dynamic, and informative content.
Add text overlays, captions, and annotations as necessary.
Optimize video pacing to ensure high viewer retention and engagement.
Maintain consistency with the channel’s video format, tone, and overall aesthetic.

Thumbnail Design:

Create visually compelling thumbnails that capture viewers' attention and increase click-through rates (CTR).
Use creative and effective graphic design techniques to design thumbnails that align with the video’s content.
Experiment with different thumbnail styles to discover what resonates best with the audience.
Ensure that thumbnails are optimized for visibility on mobile devices and desktop screens.

Collaboration & Workflow:

Work closely with content creators and other team members to understand video concepts and deliver high-quality results.
Provide input on video ideas, titles, and thumbnails to improve overall content strategy.
Stay up to date with YouTube trends, algorithms, and best practices for video editing and thumbnail design.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a video editor, preferably for YouTube or digital media.
Strong proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
Proficient in graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or similar) for creating thumbnails.
Familiarity with YouTube best practices, including SEO, audience engagement, and content optimization.
Knowledge of color grading, audio mixing, and visual effects to enhance video quality.
Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail and an eye for design.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A portfolio showcasing your previous work (especially relevant video editing and thumbnail design) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working on faceless or animated YouTube channels.
Familiarity with YouTube analytics tools to assess video performance and refine editing strategies.
Ability to adapt to different video genres and content formats (e.g., educational, entertainment, commentary).
A basic understanding of SEO and metadata best practices for YouTube videos.
