Role Overview:

We are searching for a seasoned and strategic Manager - Business Development to lead our high-performing team within the Financial Markets division. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy, fostering a results-oriented environment, and achieving ambitious sales targets.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Team Management:

  • Provide visionary leadership, establishing clear goals and objectives for the Business Development team.
  • Develop and implement a data-driven growth strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Cultivate a results-oriented and collaborative team environment that fosters continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and mentor high-performing Business Development professionals.
  • Conduct performance reviews, providing constructive feedback to drive individual and team development.

Business Development & Strategy:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive business plan for the assigned market segment.
  • Identify and qualify significant new business opportunities, driving profitable revenue growth.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to consistently surpass revenue targets.
  • Foster strong relationships with key industry players and potential clients.

Client Management & Revenue Generation:

  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, ensuring exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations at every touchpoint.
  • Lead complex sales negotiations and close high-value deals, independently managing large accounts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand existing client relationships, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Build strong and lasting client relationships based on trust and a deep understanding of their needs.

Market Expertise:

  • Possess a deep and demonstrable understanding of financial markets, including stocks, gold, and crude oil.
  • Continuously stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and competitor activity.
  • Leverage market insights to develop actionable strategies for market expansion and product development.
  • Translate market knowledge into strategic direction for the team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Development/Sales, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within the financial services industry (highly preferred).
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and demonstrably growing revenue by building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching, development, and talent acquisition.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues, fostering strategic partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets and a passion for the industry.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Disciplined, organized, and results-oriented with a proven track record of success.
