Graphic Designer

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team and play a crucial role in designing visually appealing and engaging curriculum books. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles, typography, and layout and experience in creating educational materials, including book and digital publishing formats.

Conceptualization and Design:

Develop creative and innovative design concepts for curriculum books, aligning with the educational content and target audience.
Design engaging layouts for text, images, and diagrams to enhance readability and comprehension.
Create visually appealing illustrations, infographics, and other visual elements to support the learning process.

Typography and Layout:

Select appropriate fonts and typography styles that are easy to read and visually appealing.
Ensure consistent and professional layout design throughout the book.
Optimize the layout for print and digital formats, considering factors like page size, margins, and resolution.

Collaboration:

Work closely with content writers, editors, and other team members to understand the curriculum requirements and incorporate feedback effectively.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth and efficient production of the books.

Proofreading and Quality Assurance:

Review designs for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Proofread text and images for errors and make necessary corrections.

File Preparation:

Prepare final artwork files in appropriate formats for printing or digital distribution.
Ensure files are organized and properly labeled for easy reference.
To design elements such as color, typography, illustration, and photography to create striking and compelling layouts.
To create and maintain a digital archive of all creative assets — organized and accessible in a collaborative design platform.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Management.

Skills Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
Proven experience in designing educational materials, particularly textbooks and workbooks.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of accessibility guidelines for educational materials.
Ability to work with a variety of content, including text, images, and diagrams.
