Job Summary:
We seek a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to develop, validate, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for our medical laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate SOPs for laboratory procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Review and update existing SOPs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to identify and document best practices
- Ensure SOPs are concise, clear, and easily understood by laboratory personnel
- Provide training and support to laboratory staff on new and updated SOPs
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure SOPs are being followed
- Participate in internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements to continuously improve SOPs
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure SOPs align with quality management systems
- Develop and maintain documentation related to SOPs, including validation records and training logs
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a medical laboratory setting
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent writing, communication, and training skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Certification (e.g., ASCP, NCA) preferred
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., CLIA, CAP, ISO 15189
