Job Description
This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of our software product. The candidate should be a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility for the software artifacts produced adhering to CurisNow standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products.
- Takes code ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
- Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
- Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront.
- Takes feedback from code review and applies changes to meet standards. Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
- Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.
- Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards
- Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery. Anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalation.
- Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- This role is for a person who can work remotely. Hence, it is necessary for an individual to work independently as well as collaborate with the team effectively.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Two to three years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience in developing enterprise applications in modern web frameworks including - Angular/Node.js/Express
- In-depth knowledge about JavaScript and TypeScript features.
- 1-2 years' experience working in Angular, as well as being adept at HTML/CSS.
- Should be able to convert mock-ups to actual web pages fairly easily.
- Familiarity with micro-service architecture and experience in developing and implementing REST APIs.
- 1-2 years' experience developing REST APIs in Node.js.
- Understanding of security best practices in website and server development.
- Writing good and clean code, familiar with coding in a functional programming paradigm.
- Experience working with any version control software (Git, SVN). Prior knowledge of Git.
- Experience in relational databases and SQL would be a plus.
- Knowledge about websockets and how they work. Technical expertise on Socket.IO for node.js would be a plus.
- Experience working with AWS and AWS related services is a bonus
