COMSATS Internet Services (CIS), Pakistan's pioneer ISP, invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates, for appointment on a contract basis against the post of Manager (Core Networks), CIS Islamabad.
Details of the position and placement is as under.
A suitable candidate must be able to perform the following:
- Configuration & Installation of CISCO Routers, Switches and Firewall
- IGP OSPF, ISIS, Routing Protocols Hands-on experience
- BGP Configuration and Troubleshooting
- Traffic Shaping and Bandwidth Management skills
- IPV4 & IPV6 Routing and management
- Bandwidth Management tools configuration and Troubleshooting (MRTG, CACTI )
- Distribution of International Bandwidth to FIBER/WIRELESS/WIRED Customers.
- Dedicated and Shared Configuration and Troubleshooting.

COMSATS Internet Service in collaboration with Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) have deployed L-Root Servers in Islamabad and Lahore. The L-Root instances in Pakistan have helped improve internet speeds and disseminate traffic allowing users to experience reduced response time for DNS queries, and significantly improved inter-networking efficiency of country’s Internet infrastructure.
