Job Summary: We are currently seeking a dedicated Network Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Network Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of networking concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure solutions to support the organization\'s business needs.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and migrations in accordance with best practices and industry standards.
- Configure and optimize network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures for reference and training purposes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in networking and cybersecurity.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the network team.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network-related incidents and emergencies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or a similar role, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale networks.
- Expertise in networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, MPLS, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware and software from leading vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, Arista, and Fortinet.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention, and access control.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark, and Cisco Prime.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
