Accounting & Finance:

  • Preparation of Financial Statements as per the applicable financial reporting framework.
  • Preparation and implementation of internal controls relating to processing of financial information, and suggesting better techniques/controls for the continuous improvement.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Support internal audits and work closely with external auditors to ensure adherence to financial policies.
  • Co-ordination with the different departments for the determination of costs and allocation of budget for the different projects undertaken and monitoring their progress in order to recognize the respective costs and revenues.
  • Preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual reports identifying the Profits/Losses for different projects.
  • Monitoring of Accounts Receivables and Payables i.e recording, relevant tax implications and preparation of relevant reports e.g. aging analysis, to maintain the cash-flows.
  • Preparation of the detailed budget estimates i.e Rolling-Budgets, CapEx and OpEx Budgets, based on the future financial needs, and examining and monitoring them for accuracy and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
  • Maintaining the record of financial resources and to make sure the funds are available on when and where needed basis as per budgets, forecasts and plans.
  • Coordination with the Auditors for the Annual Audits of the clients/employer, for which the information i.e. Financial Statements, Payroll, Provident Fund etc. was prepared and processed.

Financial Analysis & Planning:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential risks.
  • Support the development of long-term financial plans and strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Assist in capital budgeting, cost control, and performance analysis to drive financial efficiency.

Taxation and Compliance:

  • Handle all tax-related matters, including income tax, sales tax, VAT, and any applicable regulatory filings.
  • Ensure timely submission of tax returns and manage tax audits, assessments, and notices.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize liabilities.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, providing guidance to senior management on tax planning opportunities.
  • Responsible for attending tax litigations, i.e. response to show cause notices, tax audits, preparation of appeal and stay application documents, at departmental and ATIR level.
  • Ensured tax compliance for various clients including Income tax withholding, monthly/quarterly/biannual statements, advance tax reporting and advised clients on complex tax issues i.e. thin capitalization, cross border transactions, organizational structure.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring skill development and efficient performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial goals are met and processes are optimized.
  • Act as a key point of contact for tax authorities, consultants, and external stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to all financial regulations, laws, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for audits, tax filings, and financial reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • MBA in Accounting Finance “CA Would be preferred”
  • Minimum 7-9 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong focus on tax matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
