- Supervise fleet operations, including waste collection and transportation, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Manage a team of drivers and support staff, providing guidance and conducting shift briefings.
- Oversee vehicle inspections, addressing maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and report on safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with waste management and logistics departments for smooth operations.
- Handle route or schedule adjustments and resolve service issues.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including vehicle logs and performance.
- Supervise vehicle check in / check outs, fuel refilling, accurate daily logs being maintained in the field.
- Monitor, track, report daily fuel consumption, and vehicles milage to ensure compliance of allocated fuel limits.
- Regular fuel tracking, identify any discrepancies & taking corrective measures to maintain optimal fuel management.
- Analyze milage reports & fuel usage patterns ensuring no unwanted increase in fuel consumption.
- Monitor & Track VTMS to ensure vehicles cover all assigned collections points, sweeping & washing tasks etc.
- Ensure daily compliance with the operational plan, correcting & deviations quickly.
- Monitor fleet movement to achieve 100% KPI scores on relevant activities on daily basis.
- Report Discrepancies & take immediate action to optimize performance.
- Prepare and submit shift reports to management.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance fleet efficiency.
- Ensure staff availability at minimum required service level on daily basis.
- Implementation of the shift roster and continuous tracking of vehicles through digital VTMS.
- Coordinate with emergency services if required and ensure that all incidents are documented and reported.
- Any other assignment given by the Line Management.
