Operating Cash Registers: Efficiently and accurately operate cash registers, scanners, and other electronics.
Handling Transactions: Process sales transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, responding to inquiries, and resolving complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Bagging Items: Bag purchases neatly and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction and prevent damage to products.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the checkout area clean and organized, including the cash register and surrounding areas.
Stocking Shelves: Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels when needed.
Cash Management: Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accurate amounts and handle refunds or exchanges.
Following Procedures: Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, and exchanges.
Upselling: Recommend additional products or services to customers to increase sales and enhance their shopping experience.
Reporting: Report any discrepancies or issues with cash handling to management.
Qualifications:
Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately.
Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cash transactions and product handling.
Multitasking: Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Cash Handling Experience: Previous experience handling cash and operating cash registers is preferred.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
