Altak is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Government Contractor and Proposal Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in sourcing subcontractors, creating and submitting proposals, maintaining contracts, and contributing to the growth of the firm. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of government contracting processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal Development:

  • Create, edit, and submit comprehensive proposals for government contracts.
  • Ensure proposals meet all government regulations and submission requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure proposal accuracy.

Subcontractor Sourcing:

  • Identify and evaluate potential subcontractors to meet project requirements.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with subcontractors to ensure favorable terms for the company.

Contract Management:

  • Maintain and oversee existing contracts, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
  • Address any issues or changes in contract scope promptly and effectively.
  • Monitor contract performance and implement improvements where necessary.

Firm Growth:

Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities for government contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field. (Prefered)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in government contracting and proposal writing.
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with federal, state, or local government contracting.
  • Familiarity with contract management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
