Job Purpose

We are looking for an Assistant HRBP & WTS Manager who will be member of the South & Central Asia HR team based in Karachi Head office, Pakistan.

This role will be reporting to Regional HR Lead-South & Central Asia.

Assistant HRBP

  • Support Regional HR Lead in conducting gap assessments, and executing strategies to enhance employee job performance and overall performance.
  • Work with team to oversee the annual appraisal process
  • Closely work with HR Lead & expert team to drive change management across the market unit by defining and executing strategies in alignment with the Leadership team.
  • Use a sound understanding of data and analytics, e.g. business performance and employee engagement results, and translate into clear, meaningful messages & action plan for stakeholders whilst working closely with the team.
  • Monitor the achievement of the Action Plan against HR milestones and KPI’s (e.g. Employee Satisfaction, Productivity, Employee retention).
  • Ensure timely updates for payroll.
  • Manage the medical Insurance enrolment / deletion and support the employees with insurance related queries.
  • Handle talent-related inquiries from employees, Functional Heads and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor employee engagement in order to introduce ways to build morale, boost engagement and manage retention.
  • Leverage best demonstrated practices from the Region/ other countries
  • Ensure appropriate personnel administration processes and systems are in place, which meet the respective statutory and organizational requirements for HR Compliance.
  • Implement management development initiatives and career development activities for the country within the Regional framework.
  • Contribute to driving employee satisfaction within the market unit through the implementation of relevant organisational initiatives that build on employee commitment.
  • Foster an environment of co-operation between functions within country, managing change as needed
  • Closely work the Leadership Team to attract and retain high calibre talent whilst maintaining fairness and consistency in terms of reward and recognition.

Assistant WTS Manager

  • Manage the Upfield’s Pakistan offices & fleet in order to ensure the proper planning, maintenance, and cost effectiveness of assets and general equipment.
  • Ensures that all mechanical equipment, such as air conditioners/heating systems, alarm systems and ensures Upfield offices are properly maintained.
  • Support Regional HR Head- S&CA in managing WTS budget by ensuring accurate recording of cost. Insightful analysis of the variances & cost optimization is the key deliverable under the scope.
  • Confirm compliance of service agreement with vendors on regular basis.
  • Develops relationships with vendors to help resolve problems and serves as liaison between Upfield and vendor, as required.
  • Plans, arranges third party services/staffs, manage the day-to-day operations of the WTS; develops and implements processes to manage service provider resources efficiently.
  • Responsible for managing field sales fleet; laisoning with banks/authorities for lease/payments, vehicles maintenance, insurance and corporate fuel cards.
  • Oversees corporate initiative roll out, develops in depth analysis for improvement strategies, and monitors implementation within the area of scope.
  • Request, review and create purchase orders post proposals evaluation & approvals; and assign purchase orders to the relevant vendors; report on open and closed work orders and check the status of open purchase orders with the assigned party.
  • Verify final invoice pricing and process payments in a timely manner
  • Assist in the monitoring and assessment of vendor performance.
  • Train vendors on work order and billing procedures.
  • Create and record appropriate written communication between Upfield and relevant parties
  • Schedule and document record of maintenance and repairs of office assets & Field Sales Fleet.
  • Provide process and procedures training and direction to new associates on WTS.

Required Skills

  • Appreciation of key country labor laws & cultural requirement at the work place.
  • Past working experience in a matrix organizations will help to succeed in the role
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong formal and informal leadership attributes
  • Good business acumen and able to work under tight timelines
  • Project management and / or process improvement skills a plus
  • Candidate with regional experience will be an added advantage
  • Experienced / knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage
