Senior Full Stack Developer

The role of a Senior Full Stack Developer revolves enhancing the editorial workflow, while a senior full stack developer is accountable for the website and mobile application's development, delivery, and post-launch maintenance. They collaborate with digital technical analysts to gather editorial specifications and execute development designs.

Responsibilities

The chosen candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks, such as front-end development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as back-end development involving APIs, staging, hosting, and Headless CMS.
They should have a basic level of interest and ability in UX.
The role demands a developer with proficiency in both front-end and back-end skills, familiar with established technologies such as Node JS, React, JavaScript, MongoDB, MySQL, and Amazon Web Services.
They will be involved in the development of Headless CMS, and iOS or Android apps, overseeing the entire app life cycle from concept to release, and working closely with technical analysts to ensure products meet requirements.
The candidate should be capable of building prototypes during the tech scoping phase and collaborate with web developers and front-end developers to develop and maintain a robust framework to support apps.
They should design compelling device-specific user interfaces, standardize platforms, and optimize app performance.
They should keep up with the latest industry trends in mobile technologies and be able to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
Additionally, creative design skills and experience working with a content management system are preferred.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in Full Stack development of CMS, iOS/Android native, and hybrid applications, ideally within the media/publishing industry.
They should have a strong understanding of information architecture, human-computer interaction, and mobile usability design principles.
They should have a proven track record of delivering successful consumer products.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is required.
