Responsibilities:
1. Web Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain web applications and websites using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
2. Database Integration: Integrate databases into web applications, create SQL queries, and ensure proper data handling and storage.
3. Front-end Development: Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to ensure seamless integration of the user interface with back-end logic.
4. Code Optimization: Optimize and enhance the performance and efficiency of existing PHP code and web applications.
5. Testing and Debugging: Debug and resolve issues, bugs, and errors within web applications, and perform thorough testing to ensure the functionality and security of the code.
6. Security: Implement security best practices to protect web applications against common web vulnerabilities like SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and cross-site request forgery (CSRF).
7. Version Control: Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and track changes to code and collaborate with team members.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, front-end developers, and project managers, to ensure the successful delivery of web projects.
9. Research and Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest PHP trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve skills and bring innovation to projects.
Requirements:
1. Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is typically preferred but not always required. Relevant work experience or certifications may also be considered.
2. PHP Proficiency: Strong proficiency in PHP programming, including object-oriented PHP, and experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
3. Web Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with front-end frameworks like jQuery and React can be beneficial.
4. Database Skills: Solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and experience in writing SQL queries and database management.
5. Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
6. Security Awareness: Understanding of web application security best practices and common security vulnerabilities.
7. Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues effectively.
8. Collaboration: Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
9. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and programming languages as needed.
10. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
11. Project Management: Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
