2D Artist

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and adaptable Artist proficient in 2D asset creation to join our dynamic creative team. In this role, you will not only contribute to the development of captivating visuals for our game worlds but also support our marketing and branding efforts with engaging assets.

This dual responsibility presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact across various aspects of our projects. For this role, employment will initially take the form of project based contracts (6 months) with an initial probationary period of three months.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with internal teams to grasp visual requirements and project objectives effectively.
Craft exceptional 2D assets, including concept art, character designs, sprites, textures, and user interface elements, that seamlessly align with the game's art style and narrative.
Optimize assets meticulously for performance and memory constraints, especially targeting mobile platforms, without compromising visual fidelity.
Iterate on designs iteratively based on feedback from stakeholders, playtesting sessions, and technical constraints, striking a balance between creativity and practicality.
Stay abreast of emerging trends, techniques, and tools in game art and graphics technology, actively sharing insights and best practices with the team.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to seamlessly integrate assets into the game engine, troubleshooting any implementation issues as they arise.
Contribute actively to the development and upkeep of art pipelines, asset libraries, and style guides, streamlining workflows and ensuring consistency across projects.
Extend support to marketing and branding efforts by creating visually appealing assets such as promotional artwork, banners, trailers, and social media content that effectively communicate our brand identity and resonate with our target audience.

Requirements:

Candidates must be based in Karachi, Pakistan.
Bachelor's degree in art, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in 2D asset creation for games, with a diverse portfolio showcasing your capabilities across various styles and genres.
Strong proficiency in industry-standard software for 2D art (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
Excellent understanding of fundamental art principles such as composition, color theory, anatomy, and perspective, coupled with the ability to apply them effectively in 2D contexts.
Exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a passion for pushing artistic boundaries and delivering exceptional results.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Experience with marketing asset creation, including promotional artwork, trailers, and social media content, is highly desirable.
Ability to multitask effectively and manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines and milestones consistently.
Displaying familiarity with South Asian art is a strong plus.
